Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the GTM ORBIT Program , a strategic data modernization initiative transforming legacy geospatial, operational, and reporting systems into a scalable cloud-based data and analytics ecosystem.
The BA will bridge business and technical teams across GIS, Asset Integrity, Operations, Commercial, Compliance, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Technology .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, process mapping, and discovery sessions.
- Develop BRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, gap analyses, and functional specifications .
- Define requirements for reporting, dashboards, KPIs, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Support migration from legacy systems to modern cloud data platforms, data lakes, and analytics environments.
- Partner with Data Engineering, GIS, and Analytics teams to define trusted data products and enterprise data assets.
- Support data governance, metadata, lineage, ownership, and data quality initiatives.
- Define business rules, validation criteria, reconciliation processes, and data quality controls.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Support Agile and Waterfall delivery, backlog refinement, release planning, SIT, UAT, and business readiness.
- Support change management, training, knowledge transfer, and user adoption.
- Track business outcomes, benefits, and value delivery.
Required Skills
- Strong Business Analysis and requirements management experience.
- Experience with data modernization, reporting, analytics, and cloud data platforms .
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage .
- Experience with BRDs, user stories, process mapping, gap analysis, SIT/UAT.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working across business and technical teams.
Preferred
- GIS/geospatial data experience.
- Asset Integrity, Operations, Commercial, or Compliance domain experience.
- Exposure to AI/advanced analytics.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Candidate Profile: Experienced Business Analyst capable of translating complex business and data requirements into clear, actionable solutions while working closely with business and technical stakeholders.
