Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic Property Management System (PMS) Modernization Program , migrating from Oracle Opera PMS to Opera Cloud across hospitality operations.
The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, hotel operations teams, technology teams, and implementation partners, supporting requirements gathering, process redesign, testing, data validation, and business adoption.
The ideal candidate will have strong hospitality domain knowledge , hands-on exposure to PMS platforms such as Opera, Opera Cloud, Infor HMS, Maestro, StayNTouch , or similar systems, along with knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks .
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, Revenue Management, Sales, and Finance.
- Analyze current-state PMS processes and define future-state workflows in Opera Cloud .
- Lead workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions.
- Document business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Identify gaps between legacy Opera functionality and Opera Cloud capabilities and recommend solutions.
PMS Modernization & Transformation
- Support end-to-end migration activities from Opera PMS to Opera Cloud .
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide business process guidance.
- Define data migration requirements, mapping rules, and validation criteria.
- Support integration analysis involving PMS, CRS, POS, Loyalty, Finance, and Reporting systems.
- Collaborate with implementation vendors and internal technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Data & Analytics
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation using SQL .
- Support data validation and migration testing.
- Collaborate with Azure and Databricks teams to understand data flows, reporting requirements, and downstream impacts.
- Assist in defining operational and analytical reporting requirements.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and business validation scripts.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with hotel and business users.
- Validate migrated data, business processes, and integrations.
- Track defects and work with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
Change Management & Adoption
- Support training material development and business readiness activities.
- Facilitate stakeholder communications and change adoption initiatives.
- Assist operational teams during deployment, hypercare, and stabilization.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Hospitality, Hotels, Resorts, or Travel .
- Experience participating in PMS implementation, upgrade, or migration programs.
- Experience with Opera PMS, Opera Cloud , or comparable hotel management systems.
Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of:

Technical Skills
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Understanding of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Exposure to Databricks, data lakes, and modern analytics platforms .
- Experience with API-based integrations and system interfaces.
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, Excel , and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Opera Cloud migration programs .
- Knowledge of hospitality data models and reporting frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of cloud-based SaaS applications and modernization initiatives.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar Business Analysis certification.
