BI Lead - Power BI / Microsoft Fabric

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced BI Lead to lead the design, development, governance, and support of enterprise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric reporting and analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Power BI expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder management, governance, and onsite-offshore team leadership . This role will serve as a key point of contact across business, architecture, data engineering, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Power BI developers, analysts, and support resources, including offshore team coordination and work delegation .
- Own reporting demand, enhancements, defects, production support, delivery timelines, and SLAs.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into KPIs, dashboards, and analytics solutions .
- Lead requirements workshops, solution reviews, UAT, and stakeholder communications.
- Design and develop enterprise-scale Power BI dashboards, scorecards, semantic models, and self-service reporting solutions .
- Develop and optimize DAX, Power Query (M), data models, and reusable reporting frameworks .
- Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure SQL, ADLS, Snowflake, and other enterprise platforms .
- Establish Power BI governance, security, deployment, workspace, access control, and RLS standards .
- Monitor refresh schedules, gateway health, platform usage, and capacity.
- Optimize report performance, DAX calculations, datasets, and data refresh processes.
- Oversee L2/L3 production support , incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Drive DevOps, CI/CD, automation, continuous improvement, and operational best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories.
Required Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of BI / Analytics experience .
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Strong expertise in: Power BI Service & Desktop
- DAX
- Power Query (M)
- Semantic & Data Modeling
- Microsoft Fabric
- SQL
Experience with Azure Data Platform , including Databricks, Synapse, Azure SQL, and ADLS.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD deployment practices .
Strong understanding of data governance, security, RLS, and reporting standards.
Proven experience leading onsite/offshore BI delivery teams .
Strong stakeholder communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Agile/Scrum certification
