About the role
Workday Benefits Consultant (Part-Time | Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Workday Benefits Consultant to support a long-term engagement focused on the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Workday Benefits module . This role will play a key part in leading benefits implementations, advising on best practices, and supporting integrations with internal systems and external vendors.

- Duration: Part-time contract until November 2027
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday Benefits , providing functional expertise and best practice recommendations.
- Configure and maintain the Workday Benefits module , including benefit plans, eligibility rules, and event processing.
- Work closely with data and integrations teams to define functional data requirements and integration specifications.
- Manage annual open enrollment , life events, and ongoing benefits processing within Workday.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to benefits setup, employee enrollments, and third-party integrations .
- Ensure data integrity through audits, reconciliations, and validation of benefits data.
- Generate and analyze reports related to benefits enrollment, costs, and compliance .
- Participate in Workday system updates, enhancements, and module implementations .
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline benefits administration processes .
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Benefits, providing guidance to HR teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external benefits vendors and internal IT teams to support integrations and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and system procedures .
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience working with HRIS systems , with strong focus on Workday Benefits administration .
- Hands-on experience in Workday Benefits configuration and implementation .
- Strong understanding of employee benefits programs and regulatory requirements .
- Experience working with Workday integrations (e.g., EIB, Workday Studio ).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills .
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience with reporting and data analysis.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with additional Workday modules such as Payroll or Time Tracking .
- Prior experience supporting benefits vendors and integration processes .
