Workday Accounting Center Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Workday Accounting Center Consultant to join our team on a remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Workday Financials, specifically within Accounting Center, and will support implementation, configuration, integration, and optimization activities for ongoing finance transformation initiatives.

This role requires collaboration with finance, accounting, and technical stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Workday Accounting Center solutions aligned with business requirements and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Workday Accounting Center solutions.
• Analyze business and accounting requirements and translate them into Workday configurations.
• Assist with end-to-end implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
• Support accounting rule creation, transaction transformations, and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, HRIS, and IT stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, defects, and integration challenges.
• Participate in workshops, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Ensure best practices and compliance standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with Workday Financials and Workday Accounting Center.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes.
• Experience with Workday integrations, reporting, and data validation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience supporting Workday implementation or enhancement projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday certifications are a plus.
• Experience working in global or enterprise-scale environments.
• Familiarity with finance transformation initiatives and ERP integrations.
