About the role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives within the insurance domain . The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical delivery expertise, Agile project management , and deep insurance domain knowledge , particularly across personal and commercial auto claims, digital claims, and property insurance .
The TPM will be accountable for end-to-end project delivery , stakeholder alignment, and QA and compliance leadership , working closely with engineering, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Project Management
- Lead the full lifecycle of technical projects, ensuring on-time and budget-conscious delivery
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders
- Manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, resource allocation, and risk mitigation
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews
- Produce standardized weekly status reports summarizing progress, risks, outcomes, and effort metrics
Jira Administration & Reporting
- Design and maintain Jira project structures for complex technical workflows
- Configure Jira workflows, issue types, screens, and fields to support SDLC processes
- Build dashboards providing real-time visibility into sprint progress, velocity, and team performance
- Generate leadership-level reports including velocity, burndown, and compliance metrics
QA & Compliance Leadership
- Drive overall QA strategy and ensure compliance across unit, integration, system, and UAT testing phases
- Oversee test case creation, execution, and traceability using Jira Zephyr
- Produce and present QA metrics including test coverage, pass/fail rates, and defect leakage
- Promote best practices in test planning, automation readiness, and continuous quality improvement
Technical Validation & Environment Oversight (Nice to Have)
- Oversee environment readiness including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure builds
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on environment configuration and endpoint reviews
- Review and approve pull requests (PRs) to ensure code quality and alignment with project goals
Insurance & Platform Experience (Nice to Have)
- Strong understanding of personal and commercial auto claims, digital claims workflows, and property insurance (e.g., Sonnet / Vyne)
- Work closely with business analysts and product owners to ensure insurance product compliance
- Understanding of Guidewire architecture
- Coordinate with legacy technology teams to integrate and support in-house, legacy, and cloud-based systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management within software development environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira (including Zephyr) and Confluence
- Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab , CI/CD tools, and modern SDLC practices
- Exposure to legacy systems and mainframe environments
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe , or equivalent
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management
- Prior experience in the insurance domain , particularly claims processing and digital transformation
