S&O Chief of Staff
About the role
Job Description: S&O Chief of Staff
About the Role
We're looking for a strategic, high-autonomy Chief of Staff to support senior leadership (Director/VP-equivalent level) within a Strategy & Operations (S&O) function. This is a client-facing, high-visibility role for someone who thrives as a thought partner to senior stakeholders and can independently drive cross-regional alignment across a large, distributed team.
You'll serve as the connective tissue across 15+ practitioners supporting global regions (including PubSec, EMEA, JAPAC, LATAM, Partner Marketing, Brand, and North America), while also managing a Community & Culture team and owning the cadence of leadership engagement - from weekly meetings to major offsites and annual planning.
This role requires someone comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight, capable of translating ambiguous asks from senior leadership into polished strategy, content, and execution.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute engagement activities across S&O Leadership and manage the Community & Culture team
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior stakeholders, providing guidance and oversight to junior regional S&O support
- Act as the connective tissue across 15+ practitioners supporting global regions to drive operational scale and identify solutions
- Own the full cadence of leadership decision-making forums: weekly S&O Leadership meetings, Leadership Offsites, Team Town Halls, and Team Offsites - including agenda-setting, content development, and facilitation
- Manage and drive alignment of the S&O team budget to strategic objectives; lead Annual Planning activities
- Design and execute a communications strategy (newsletter, leadership comms) to build cross-functional and executive awareness of S&O initiatives and impact
- Shape agenda and content in partnership with senior stakeholders for Town Halls and Offsites
- Lead upfront strategic visioning and stakeholder management for major events (e.g., annual Marketing Kick-Off, Cloud Marketing event), including scoping, content, and framework development
What We're Looking For
- Strategic Thought Partner: Able to brainstorm, analyze, and refine ideas alongside senior stakeholders to shape forward-looking strategy
- Proactive & Self-Directed: A driver who manages projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous standards for accuracy, project management, organization, and presentation
- Creative Storyteller: Skilled at converting ideas or text into engaging visual content and presentations
- Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to build trust and rapport with senior-level stakeholders
- AI-Curious: Quick learner willing to experiment with and implement AI tools (Google ecosystem) to improve team productivity
- Highly Available: Comfortable fielding urgent, time-sensitive questions from senior leadership and joining live working sessions for real-time feedback and material refinement
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Business Operations, or senior Executive Business Partner capacity supporting senior leadership
- Proven experience owning leadership meeting cadences (offsites, town halls) - content and facilitation, not just logistics
- Experience managing budget alignment to strategic priorities and annual planning cycles
- Strong portfolio of executive-level presentations/decks
- Based in or able to work onsite in Vancouver, BC, aligned to Pacific time zone
- People management experience is a plus
