About the role
Job Description: The role is responsible for leading the technology integration workstream for a major financial services transaction, ensuring integration plans are practical, governed, risk-managed, and aligned to business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the overall technology integration program , including scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, executive reporting, governance routines, RAID management, and delivery outcomes.
- Translate integration strategy into executable plans across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, identity and access management, service management, vendors, TSA exit, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
- Drive platform, application, and data integration , including application rationalization, retain/retire/replace decisions, migration planning, data conversion, reconciliation, reporting continuity, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate infrastructure, cyber, and identity integration , covering cloud, network, workplace technology, endpoints, service desk, monitoring, access models, privileged access, vulnerability posture, incident response, and security control continuity.
- Develop and manage cutover and readiness plans , including command centre governance, runbooks, dress rehearsals, blackout windows, go/no-go criteria, issue triage, rollback planning, hyper care, and post-cutover stabilization.
- Manage TSA, vendor, and operating model transitions , including service dependencies, exit plans, vendor contracts, licensing, supplier readiness, support models, governance, retained/vendor responsibilities, and handoff to steady-state teams.
- Identify and manage integration risks and financial impacts , including one-time costs, stranded costs, dis-synergies, run-rate impacts, investment needs, and technology-enabled value opportunities.
- Support senior executives and steering committees by creating concise, decision-oriented materials on status, risks, milestone confidence, decisions required, and recommended actions.
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships across technology, business, risk, cyber, legal, finance, operations, vendors, and executive teams while maintaining delivery discipline.
- Contribute to Deloitte’s technology integration methods and assets , including playbooks, accelerators, AI, analytics, automation, and digital tools to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
Key required skills and qualifications include:
- 15+ years of experience in technology consulting, systems integration, IT transformation, financial services technology, transaction advisory, or complex program delivery.
- Proven leadership of post-close technology integrations , large-scale migrations, platform consolidations, TSA exits, cutovers, separations, operating model transitions, or enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of transaction integration dynamics , including Day 1 readiness, transition-state operating models, sequencing, risk prioritization, dependency management, executive decision-making, cost discipline, and value realization.
- Deep cross-domain technology knowledge across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, IAM, service management, end-user technology, vendor contracts, software licensing, and production operations .
- Experience working in financial services or regulated environments , with knowledge of technology controls, resilience, compliance, customer protection, data privacy, cyber risk, and operational continuity.
- Ability to build and manage detailed integration roadmaps, migration plans, cutover plans, readiness scorecards, RAID logs, dependency maps, executive updates, and stabilization plans .
- Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across technology, operations, product, finance, risk, cyber, legal, tax, HR, communications, and third-party vendors.
- Executive stakeholder management experience, including building trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, business executives, integration management offices, enterprise architecture teams, delivery teams, and external partners .
- Strong risk and financial discipline, including the ability to identify integration risks, quantify technology costs and dis-synergies, develop mitigation plans, and escalate decisions clearly.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, staffing input, team development, and leading high-performing teams in ambiguous and time-sensitive environments.
- Excellent executive communication skills, including PowerPoint-based storytelling, structured problem solving, issue-based recommendations, and facilitation of senior working sessions .
- Strong judgment, pragmatism, and troubleshooting ability, with the ability to balance speed, risk, quality, cost, customer impact, and long-term technology direction.
- Knowledge of relevant technology trends, including cloud transformation, cyber resilience, AI, automation, API-led integration, data platforms, digital operating models, technology cost optimization, and enterprise modernization .
