Oracle EDQ Platform Engineer
Location: Brampton, ON - Onsite Duration: Possible 3-Month CTH Start: Immediate
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EDQ Platform Engineer to lead and support the migration of Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure Cloud . The role combines data quality engineering, platform administration, cloud migration, performance optimization, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and optimize Oracle EDQ environments.
- Manage EDQ Director, EDQ Server, and Repository configurations.
- Lead migration of EDQ processes and pipelines from on-premises to Azure , including lift-and-shift and refactoring.
- Assess existing EDQ processes, jobs, dependencies, and migration requirements.
- Re-platform EDQ workloads using Azure VMs and Kubernetes/containerized environments .
- Build and maintain EDQ processes for profiling, standardization, cleansing, matching, and deduplication .
- Design EDQ architecture across Azure compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Integrate EDQ with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics , and enterprise data platforms.
- Manage upstream/downstream integrations across databases, APIs, and file-based systems.
- Support data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Optimize EDQ performance through memory allocation and parallel processing .
- Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics and perform root-cause analysis.
- Implement security controls including encryption, Azure RBAC , and Azure Key Vault .
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automate environment provisioning, code migration, and releases using Git, Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Shell, and Python .

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) .
- Experience with data quality frameworks, including profiling, cleansing, matching, and deduplication .
- Proven experience migrating EDQ or similar data platforms from on-premises to cloud .
- Strong understanding of cloud pipeline refactoring.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Machines and Snowflake .
- Knowledge of Azure networking, VNETs, VPN, and ExpressRoute .
- Strong Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL skills.
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Experience with ADF preferred; ODI knowledge is optional.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Oracle ODI and GoldenGate .
- Docker/Kubernetes and containerization.
- Data governance tools and multi-cloud environments.
- Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect .
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field .
- 5+ years of experience with EDQ/data quality platforms and cloud/platform engineering.
