Job Summary

We are seeking a Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant / Software Change Management (SCM) SME to support application migration projects using IBM DBB, Git, and IDD/Wazi solutions. The role will provide technical expertise, hands-on migration support, troubleshooting, client training, and knowledge transfer for Endevor and other SCM-to-Git/DBB migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support CA-Endevor and other SCM-to-DBB/Git/IDD migration projects.
• Define a modernization strategy for Git/DBB solutions and articulate business benefits.
• Architect DevOps pipelines using Git, IBM DBB, and automated deployment.
• Assess legacy SCM workflows and design migration paths to Git with IBM DBB.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot DBB/Git/IDD solutions on customer systems.
• Analyze, convert, and validate Endevor applications.
• Provide technical support and problem determination for Git/DBB/IDD/Wazi environments.
• Conduct customer training and develop technical presentation materials.
• Collaborate with IBM teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Document migration processes, best practices, and technical resolutions.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Programmer or similar role.
• Strong IBM z/OS and USS experience with application development or system programming background.
• 4+ years of customer-facing consulting experience.
• Proven installation and migration experience on IBM z/OS and USS.
• Strong understanding of the Git/DBB lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Git, repositories, branching, pipelines, and pipeline/build troubleshooting.
• Strong DBB and IDD/Wazi deployment experience.
• Proficiency with YAML and Groovy scripting.
• Strong problem determination and troubleshooting skills related to Git/DBB/IDD/Wazi.
• Excellent customer-facing, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct DBB/Git/IDD/Wazi training sessions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations using Microsoft Word and other standard tools.
• Assist clients with diagnosing and resolving conversion-related errors.
• Support knowledge transfer and documentation of migration best practices.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience in mainframe modernization, SCM, DBB/Git/IDD.
• Development, application lifecycle, or change management experience.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a global team.
