Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant with strong IBM z/OS expertise to support application migration projects using IBM DBB, Git, IDD, and Wazi . The ideal candidate will lead SCM modernization initiatives, helping clients migrate from CA-Endevor (and other SCM tools) to modern DevOps solutions while providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and customer training.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support CA-Endevor (and other SCM) migrations to IBM DBB/Git/IDD .
• Design and implement DevOps pipelines using Git, IBM DBB, and automated deployment .
• Assess legacy SCM workflows and define migration strategies to Git-based DevOps.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support DBB, Git, IDD, and Wazi environments.
• Analyze, convert, and validate Endevor applications during migration.
• Deliver customer training, technical presentations, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Collaborate with IBM teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Document migration processes, best practices, and technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Programmer, Application Developer, or similar mainframe role .
• 4+ years of customer-facing consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with IBM z/OS, USS, Git, IBM DBB, IDD, and Wazi .
• Experience with SCM migrations , particularly CA-Endevor to Git/DBB .
• Proficiency with YAML, Groovy scripting, Git repositories, branching, pipelines, and build troubleshooting .
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience in mainframe modernization and DevOps transformation.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management and change management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently or in global teams.
