About the role

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Insurance Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support the preparation, validation, and submission of auto insurance statistical reporting for Canadian regulatory and industry bodies. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Canadian Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, regulatory reporting, insurance data analysis, and data quality management. This role will work closely with business, actuarial, operations, and data teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting while identifying opportunities to automate and optimize reporting processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end preparation and submission of auto insurance statistical and regulatory reports.
  • Extract, transform, validate, and reconcile data from policy administration and claims systems.
  • Perform data quality checks, exception management, and reconciliation activities to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with business, actuarial, data, and operations teams to validate reporting requirements and data outputs.
  • Interpret regulatory and industry reporting requirements and translate them into technical data specifications and reporting logic.
  • Ensure all submissions are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable reporting standards.
  • Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies, data anomalies, and quality issues.
  • Support the automation, enhancement, and optimization of reporting processes and controls.
  • Maintain documentation related to reporting methodologies, data mappings, validation procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong experience within the Canadian Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, specifically Auto Insurance.
  • Hands-on experience with insurance statistical and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong understanding of insurance data domains including:
  • Policies
  • Premiums
  • Claims
  • Exposure
  • Loss Ratios
  • Experience with data extraction, analysis, and validation using SQL and/or SAS.
  • Experience working with insurance platforms such as Guidewire or equivalent systems.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and reporting controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and convert them into reporting specifications and business logic.
  • Experience automating regulatory reporting processes.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Background in actuarial services, insurance analytics, or insurance operations.
  • Experience working with Canadian insurance regulators, industry bureaus, or reporting organizations.
  • Knowledge of modern data warehousing and reporting architectures.
