Employee Relations Specialist - Bilingual
About the role
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources Managed Services team within an HR-as-a-Service environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of all aspects of employee relations, including separations, employee issue management, performance and conduct case management, and workplace investigations.
You will ensure all cases are managed with professionalism, compliance, and sensitivity, while partnering with business leaders and HR teams to mitigate risk and maintain a positive employer brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise business leaders and HR partners on employee relations procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the execution of end-to-end employee relations processes, including separations, employee issue management, performance management, conduct case management, and investigations.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of employee relations policies, processes, and communications.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports on employee relations trends, metrics, and case outcomes for HR leadership.
- Promote a positive employee experience through clear communication, timely support, and adherence to organizational values throughout all employee relations processes.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor ’ s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations, including separation processes within a large, matrixed, or complex organizational structure.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. employment laws, regulations, and employee relations best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive, constructive relationships within HR and business functions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and empathy.
- Experience working in a professional services or large corporate environment is considered an asset.
- Commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and maintaining a strong employer brand.
- French language fluency is required.
