About the role
Role Overview
The Solution Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end Dynamics 365 solutions , specifically across Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), Purchasing, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and MML modules .
This role is responsible for building scalable, secure, and efficient solutions across key business domains including Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain, and HR , ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and integration strategy for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O, Purchasing, SCM, MML modules) including data models, workflows, customizations, and integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide strategic guidance on Dynamics 365 capabilities, limitations, and integration with systems such as Power Platform, Azure, and third-party tools .
- Guide and mentor development teams, ensuring adherence to Microsoft best practices, compliance, and security standards.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Solution Design and Implementation
- Lead functional end-to-end design of Dynamics 365 F&O, Purchasing, SCM, and MML solutions .
- Gather business requirements and map them to standard or custom Dynamics 365 functionality across finance, manufacturing, supply chain, retail, and HR .
- Develop and document functional specifications for customizations, integrations, and workflows.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business needs into detailed requirements.
System Configuration and Customization
- Oversee configuration of Dynamics 365 F&O, Purchasing, SCM, and MML , ensuring alignment with business requirements.
Data Management and Integration
- Guide data migration from legacy systems into Dynamics 365 ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure seamless integration with CRM systems, ERP platforms, and third-party applications .
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Work closely with testing teams to resolve issues and ensure system stability before go-live.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Stay updated on the latest Dynamics 365 features and releases.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate business processes.
Stakeholder / Vendor Engagement
- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Accounting, Payroll, and IT .
- Act as the primary functional point of contact during project execution.
- Facilitate workshops to align system functionality with business needs.
- Resolve issues related to: Record-to-Report
- Service-to-Cash
- Transactional Finance
Skills & Qualifications
Required Experience
- 7–9 years of experience in Dynamics 365 F&O, Purchasing, SCM, and MML modules
- Hands-on project delivery experience in a client-facing functional consultant role
Functional Knowledge
- Strong expertise in: Record-to-Report
- Service-to-Cash
- Transactional Finance
System Expertise
- Experience configuring Dynamics 365 F&O, Purchasing, SCM, and MML modules
Project Management
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate across teams
Problem-Solving
- Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and risks
Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of: Dynamics 365 architecture and cloud deployment
