SAP IS-U Billing Functional Consultant
Location: Toronto, ON Contract Duration: 6 Months, with potential extension to 1 year Work Model: Hybrid Travel: Onsite at Toronto client location once per month
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP IS-U Billing solutions. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and offshore resources to support successful delivery of billing-related initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement & Workshops
- Facilitate client workshops and business requirements sessions related to SAP IS-U Billing .
- Collaborate with business users and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and recommend solution approaches.
- Provide functional expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Solution Design & Documentation
- Develop project deliverables including: Facilitation documents
- Functional specifications
- Configuration documents
- Process flow documentation
Ensure documentation aligns with project standards and client requirements.
Configuration & Testing
- Configure SAP IS-U Billing functionality based on approved business requirements.
- Prepare and complete configuration and functional unit test documentation.
- Support end-to-end testing and validate billing processes.
System Integration Testing
- Execute SIT test scripts and document test results.
- Validate functional requirements and integration with related SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Support defect identification, analysis, and resolution during testing cycles.
Offshore Team Support
- Provide functional guidance and support to offshore SAP IS-U Billing resources.
- Review deliverables and ensure quality and consistency across the team.
Defect Management
- Triage, analyze, and resolve SAP IS-U Billing-related defects.
- Coordinate with technical and functional teams to drive timely resolution.
Cutover & Deployment Support
- Support cutover planning and execution .
- Participate in CDR (Conversion/Data Reconciliation) runs .
- Coordinate testing and readiness activities.
- Support production deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with SAP IS-U Billing configuration and business processes .
- Experience preparing functional specifications and configuration documentation .
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, and defect management .
- Understanding of utility industry processes and billing operations .
- Strong client-facing communication and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams .
