Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fraud & AML Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expert guidance on fraud risk management, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, operational controls, monitoring, investigations, and reporting.
The SME will support strategy, solution reviews, testing, implementation, and process design while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on fraud and AML strategy, operations, and controls .
- Validate fraud detection scenarios, monitoring rules, and investigation workflows.
- Review and refine fraud and AML policies, procedures, and operational artifacts.
- Support the design of dispute, recovery, investigation, and reporting processes .
- Ensure fraud and AML activities align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Mentor project team members and stakeholders on fraud and AML practices.
- Support solution reviews, testing, and implementation activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise in Fraud Risk Management and AML Compliance .
- Strong knowledge of Visa Debit fraud typologies and monitoring frameworks .
- Experience with fraud investigations, transaction monitoring, and reporting.
- Understanding of financial crimes regulations and compliance requirements .
- Strong advisory, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of Fraud and/or AML experience within the financial services industry.
- Experience within credit unions, retail banking, or card/payment operations .
- CAMS, CFE, CFCS , or similar industry certification.
