About the role

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Oracle HCM Functional SMEs to support an Application Managed Services (AMS) engagement within the public sector. The ideal candidates will bring strong functional expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, hands-on AMS/support experience, and the ability to operate effectively in client-facing, operational support environments.

This role is focused on functional troubleshooting, quarterly release support, user enablement, and continuous improvement within a structured ITSM framework.

Skills Needed

Experience Needed

  • Typically 5+ years of Oracle experience , with 2+ years in Oracle Fusion Cloud
  • Experience in managed services / AMS / support ‑ heavy environments
  • Comfortable working in client ‑ facing, operational support roles
  • Experience supporting Oracle Fusion quarterly releases (impact assessment, testing, post ‑ release stabilization)
  • Public sector experience preferred (unionized or regulated environments an asset)

Job Description: Oracle AMS Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle Fusion system issues, errors, and user inquiries
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and basic configurations
  • Diagnose and investigate functional issues, escalating to Oracle or technical teams when required
  • Work within a ticketing / ITSM environment to manage incidents, service requests, and minor enhancements
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement functional solutions
  • Support Oracle Fusion quarterly updates, including testing support and post ‑ release issue resolution
  • Support user enablement by explaining features and best practices
  • Assist in preparing or updating functional documentation and training materials
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements, updates, or process efficiencies
  • Support Payroll, Time and Labour, and Absence scenarios including pay cycles, time rules, and exception handling (as applicable)
  • Work with cross ‑ functional teams (e.g., developers, PMs, consultants) to ensure comprehensive support
  • Prepare simple reports or summaries on support activity and system performance
  • Understand client business needs and align Oracle Fusion functionality to drive efficiencies
