Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis within enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in the Hospitality or Retail industry, with expertise in requirements gathering, process modeling, documentation, and stakeholder management.
The candidate should have experience working with CRM, POS, reservation, booking, loyalty, and financial systems, along with a strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS), cloud platforms, and AI-enabled productivity tools would be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions to understand business needs and existing workflows.
- Prepare detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process flows.
- Facilitate prioritization sessions and support product backlog management.
- Conduct gap analysis, identify process improvement opportunities, and perform solution impact assessments.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, defect resolution, and production rollout activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Support the software development lifecycle by ensuring requirements are clearly documented, communicated, and aligned with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis within enterprise environments.
- Recent experience in the Hospitality or Retail industry.
- Experience working with CRM, POS, reservation, booking, loyalty, and financial systems.
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Expertise in requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with Property Management Systems (PMS), such as Oracle OPERA, Maestro, Cloudbeds, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certifications.
- Hands-on experience using AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve productivity across the software development lifecycle, including documentation, requirements management, user story refinement, and knowledge management.
